The Tenterden Food and Drink Festival will be debuting in the Kentish town of Tenterden this month (May 19 to May 21 2017).

It will feature stalls offering tasty local, regional food and drink, alongside traders with clothing and crafts for you to browse and buy from.

A live music stage and bar will add to the festival atmosphere over the weekend.

The event is being run by Market Square Group with partner support from Lexus of Tunbridge Wells. Among the 30 stalls and traders at the Tenterden Food and Drink Festival will be:

Grocery foods: Mr Olive (olives, baklava) Cheese Bomb Gifts (cheese and chutney), Marshmallow Heaven (handmade luxury marshmallows), and Kent Collection (handmade Kentish salamis and hams).

Hot food: The Street Pig (pork ribs and more), Godmersham Game (venison burgers) and Sanezana (pulled chicken).

Drinks: Local, national and international ales, wine from The Sociable Wine Company, cider from Wise Owl Cider and Gibbet Oak Cider and cocktails from the Beetlejuice team.

Paul Kennedy, Director of Market Square Group, said: “One of our favourite regions in the UK to visit is the county of Kent so to make a trip to Tenterden is something we have been greatly looking forward to.

"We first tasted the friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Tenterden over Christmas with our festive market and we hope to see lots of people over the weekend of May 19 to 21 to enjoy the delicious food and drink on offer at the festival."

Entry is free to visitors.
