The World Village Market
The World Village Market is a unique street market with a festival feel featuring exotic world cooking, homemade, healthy and traceable foods together with ethical traded, handmade, eco – friendly arts, crafts, clothing, jewellery, accessories and original ideas!
We have built a themed event that draws together a number of vital elements providing colour and character, blending the exotic with the sustainable, putting eco-friendly awareness before mass production and original creative thinking alongside the traditional.
To create an original themed market with a selection of stalls that are selling products of excellent quality and unquestionable authenticity. To form our World Market, we actively seek out that which is ‘unusual’ and often, undervalued.

Best of British
We are currently developing a Best of British theme that will celebrate all that is traditional, innovative and original about Great Britain. In times such as these, it is perhaps more than ever, appropriate that we look at what we have on our doorstep - the foods, crafts, art, clothing, sense of humour and great creative energy that are part of our heritage. From Stilton Cheese to Thai Curries and from Harris Tweed to Ethical Manufacturing in the developing world, British producers, importers and industry will be celebrated.
With 2012 and the Olympic Games are heading our way, enquiries from towns/venues are invited. We envisage that the community local to each Olympic venue will be a part of this themed event.
Historical and Festive Themes
Dickensian Market
Sweedlepipe, Honeythunder, Scrooge, Micawber, M’Choakumchild, Gradgrind to name but a few, Charles Dickens left us a rich legacy of literature most notable for characters that jump out of the page.....
Ask anyone abroad to name a famous British writer and Dickens is bound to be there or there abouts. What better theme then, to promote traditonal Old England, than a market populated by these 'larger than the page' creations of Britains best literatary social commentator?
We are looking for traders who are in a sense, larger than life and there are plenty of you out there – we know! Costume appropriate to the theme will be compulsory, but we are confident that the rewards in terms of venues and occasion are there for those of you who fit the bill.
'All the world’s a stage’ and we are looking for market traders who are prepared to walk the boards in order to capture the imagination of the visiting public. Full support will be provided from finding the costume to displaying the product.
Town Centre Managers and Events Organisers – we are taking bookings now for 2009. Please note that we are also aiming to take this theme abroad and are looking at venues in Europe.

Christmas Markets
Christmas is a busy time for everyone in the retail business and the demand for Themed Markets is always at its highest. We can cater for one day events for town lights switch on to City Centre Events that may run over several weeks, but planning is everything and in order to deliver the best it is important to organise well in advance. The best stalls tend be those that have the best organisation behind them and those traders like to have things in place.
Choose from the themes that we have listed here or draw up your own design for your Christmas Event - in all cases we can deliver an event in keeping with the tradition of Christmas with chalet style huts/uniform gazebo presentation or our own wood theme design.

Town Festivals
Working with Town Centre Managers and City Events Teams we provide themed markets to suit the style and content of urban centre celebrations. Using our database we can promote such events to the very best traders in their product area to assemble stalls of high quality and great character. We are proud to be partners of Darlington Borough Council - winner of Best Speciality Market Event 2007 - National Federation of Market Traders.

Music Festivals
We have collated a special database of original foods and crafts that will add a touch of originality and character to outdoor festivals. Burger vans and dinky doughouts are out and free range, homemade, organic and vegetarian are in. Any festival, particularly in in the early days needs to make an impression on its visitors and attention to their dietry preferences is an improtant area. Add to this our selected clothing, craft and accessory stalls and we are confident that you need look no further for a partner in making your festival shine through.
